Good Evening,
This is your weekly round up from the Pleck neighbourhood team and we have had another busy week!
Pleck police set up a Police Surgery in Morrisons on Wallows Lane to answer any public enquiries. We also provided a police presence for the EID event that took place in Palfrey Park this week. Pleck police also partnered up with Green Square Accord to patrol hotspot areas together. A youth event was attended at the Shree Ram Mandir this week where police got involved with the activities and spoke to youths. We also visited Reedwood Sons Of Rest Talbot House community centre this week.
A plain clothes operation took place this week where many stop searches took place and drugs were also seized. Also large amounts of intelligence reports came from this operation. A male was arrested for theft from shops and stalls this week. Also, a male was arrested for failing to appear. A male was also arrested for drunk and disorderly this week. Proactive Patrols took place all throughout the week and we had a very positive outcome to stop and search numbers as well as a high percentage of positive stop searches.
It’s time to get summer-ready and secure your home, vehicles, and valuables – double checking your windows and doors are locked is key. Never leave your car unattended, running with the AC on, and valuables on show. Over the summer, you will see more officers out in our towns and cities, but there are also ways you can help keep your community safe. Your CCTV helps us solve real crimes. We are urging local businesses, residents, and community groups to sign up to our CCTV registry online: CCTV Registry | West Midlands Police. It only takes five minutes and can help us bring more opportunistic burglars and thieves to justice.
We will also be advertising our future PACT meeting each week. This is a meeting where any member of the community can attend to come forward with issues in the community and what they believe needs to be prioritised. This PACT meeting will be taking place at Nash Dom Community Hub, Sun Street, Walsall, WS1 4AL from 17:00-19:00 hrs on Wednesday 22nd July 2026. We look forward to seeing you!
